Junior Champion Academy was filled with colour and excitement as our students came together to celebrate Merdeka 2025. The day began with food sharing, where students brought their favourite dishes from home to enjoy with friends, creating a warm sense of community.

The costume competition brought even more energy as students proudly wore traditional outfits that reflected Malaysia’s culture and heritage. From vibrant baju kurung to unique batik designs, the creativity on display was inspiring.

Students also took part in fun traditional games that brought plenty of laughter and friendly competition. These simple activities reminded everyone of the joy of playing together while celebrating the spirit of Malaysia.

It was a meaningful day of pride, unity and togetherness, and a celebration our students will surely remember.

In mid-April 2025, Junior Champion students enjoyed an exciting field trip to Bird Park Kuala Lumpur, the world’s largest free-flight walk-in aviary. The visit gave them the chance to see a wide range of bird species, from tiny colourful parrots to large and majestic peacocks.

Students were fascinated by the bird performances, where they observed trained birds displaying their unique skills. These shows not only entertained but also taught them more about how animals can be cared for responsibly.

Another highlight of the day was the team activities. Students worked together to solve puzzles and complete challenges around the park, learning the value of communication, cooperation, and problem-solving outside the classroom setting.

The Bird Park trip was a meaningful experience that combined fun, education, and teamwork. It allowed our students to appreciate nature in a hands-on way while creating lasting memories with their classmates.

At the end of July, our Junior Champion students had the chance to explore their artistic side during a trip to Jadi Batek, one of Malaysia’s well-known batik craft centres. The visit was not only enjoyable but also an eye-opening experience that allowed students to learn about one of our country’s treasured cultural heritages.

The children were excited to try their hand at designing and colouring batik patterns. With brushes in hand and a palette of bright colours before them, they expressed their creativity freely, producing unique pieces that reflected their personalities. The joy on their faces was evident as they saw their artwork come to life.

Beyond the fun, the trip offered many valuable benefits. Students gained a deeper appreciation for Malaysia’s traditional art forms and the craftsmanship involved in batik making. They also developed patience and focus as they carefully worked on their designs, learning that creativity often requires both imagination and discipline.

Such experiences encourage children to think outside the box and explore new ways of expressing themselves. More importantly, they create lasting memories and build confidence by showing that every child has the ability to create something beautiful.

The Jadi Batek trip was a wonderful blend of culture, creativity, and fun. We are proud of our students for embracing the opportunity and look forward to more enriching experiences that will continue to inspire their learning journey.
